We read Kite Runner - by a man about woman
We read Bookseller's Daughter - by a woman, but an "outsider" woman

Here's another recommendation from Mickey: Blankets by Joe Thompson.
It's a graphic novel (like a comic) for adults.

Sound and the Fury sounds miserable to me--- perhaps my job plays a role in that... I would not mind the graphic novel, they are so popular right not I want to experience it! :-)

Graphic Novel????
Carol has now read Blankets and Kafka on the Shore - she is smoking past all of us. Wait, is this a reading contest or a reading club? I will get both books.
OK, I'm tuning in really late on this discussion, but how about an online YA fantasy serial? MORTAL GHOSTis about a homeless boy with some very strange talents. And there are podcasts now too.
